My Little Pony

What is MLP (My Little Pony)?

MLP, also known as My Little Pony is known as a franchise that dates all the way back to the 1980s. It's a franchise that has been revamped over and over again, about five times now, and will likely continue to be revamped over and over again. The base of mlp is that it's a world basically filled with ponies that have human attributes. Even within some generations, there are even humans within the shows alongside the talking ponies. The most famous known generations of mlp today are Generation (also known as gen for short) 4 and Generation 5. These are the 2 most recent generations of the 20th century. Gen 4 is the most popular by far with more than just children, but adults as well. This generation captured folks for 9 seasons straight, leaving extensive lore and quite an interesting fandom thats ongoing today.

Generation 4 Summary

The Lore of gen 4 also known as "My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic", is highly extensive. So, today I will simplify it for us all as if you were looking into this show yourself. A little synopsis if you will. To start off we get introduced to a unicorn one of 4 pony species (earth pony, pegasus, unicorn, and alicorn) that is named Twilight Sparkle who is a student of Princess Celestia (the ruler). Twilight gets sent away from home to Ponyville to learn about the power of friendship with her trusty assistant Spike the baby dragon. She ends up meeting 5 ponies known as Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and lastly Fluttershy. In which the 6 of them grow to be friends and learn about the power of friendship while facing many issues that they resolve together.

My Thoughts on MLP

As a kid who grew up with mlp (gen 4), its always been a huge part of my childhood even now in my adulthood. I may be seen as immature for my passion for this show, but its also a huge comfort thing for me. For me, mlp is a vast world full of so much lore and so much growth that even it could continue to be grown on to this day. Unfortunstely shows can't go on forever. The most I take out of this show is how much passion and happiness it gives me. Thing upon anyone who has a hobby that makes them happy, you wouldn't just stop doing it or stop watching your favorite show. Just having that mindset might just make you think some more about your childhood that you may of given up on as you went into adulthood just for society's standards. All I say is that you just should take a moment to think about it.
