As an artist things that really interest me have to do with creation & creativity. When I was in middle school, I learned how to sew. Since learning to sew, I can say it's helped me pay some bills. I also love to create in beadwork, quillwork, and graphic design.
I didn't know really what graphic design was until I was in college for a different degree. I hadn't realized I was into graphic design and had mild experience of editing html code on MySpace. I also was a handmade designer where I drew and trace patterns using cardboard and fabric. I wasn't sure if I would make a good computer artist for long because I had been doing a lot of designs by hand. Little did I know it helps me create designs quicker since I already have an eye for designing.
I have been a freelance graphic designer for the past 3 years. I mostly started out making designs for posters using procreate. It wasn't long before I signed up for graphic design school. Since being in graphic design school, I have been asked for design help on various projects and I've been able to keep building my portfolio. I'm pretty sure that printing will be my genre of graphic design since it's been all of my freelance work this far.
