We add no preservatives, so our breads are overflowing with that down-home flavor reminiscent of those hot, golden-brown loaves grandma pulled out of her oven years ago. A five-grain Scottish harvest bread, Struan is the perfect combination of five grains: wheat flour, brown rice, cornmeal, rolled oats and wheat bran. We use low-fat buttermilk rather than cooking oil or shortening, so it not only is very tasty, it's healthy as well. No wonder Struan has become so popular. It's available in either a cinnamon/raisin combination or plain. The cinnamon/raisin style is wonderful toasted!
Emily's highly popular San Francisco-style Sourdough Bread is made from scratch with a grape starter. Try it toasted or with spinach dip. It's simply fantastic!
At Emily's, our dinner rolls are made from scratch daily in our in-store bakery by our staff of professional bakers. We use unbleached flour, which provides more nutrients and adds a little crispness to the texture. All our dinner rolls are available in white, wheat or pumpernickel.
