Nick Pease, Principal
Nicholas (Nick) Pease began his career as a copywriter at Minneapolis-based Fingerhut before earning a graduate fellowship to pursue a master’s and doctorate in English. After a brief full-time teaching career, he transitioned to Reader’s Digest, where he worked as a copywriter and later as an editor, publishing Great People of the Bible, the all-time runner-up in RD’s trade book series. Nick then joined CBS Television in New York, writing audience research reports on hit series. When his department relocated, he founded Lyndon Communications, an institutional design firm specializing in K-12 textbooks and business training coursework. Throughout his career, he maintained a strong connection to academia, teaching as an adjunct professor at Brooklyn College, NYU, and other institutions. Currently, he teaches in the graduate programs at the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota. In 1987, Nick spent seven years as head writer for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority, overseeing communications for the nation’s largest transit system. Upon returning to Minneapolis in the mid-1990s, he managed communications for major healthcare providers. In 2002, he founded ProsePerfect, bringing together over three decades of expertise in writing, editing, and communications. Today, Nick leads ProsePerfect with a commitment to clarity, professionalism, and excellence, helping businesses, academic institutions, and organizations craft high-quality written materials.
